These temporary malfunctions can be
corrected by filling the fuel tank with
good quality fuel and/or properly tight-
ening the gas cap. After three driving
cycles
without these or any other tempo
-
rary malfunctions present, the malfunc-
tion indicator light should turn off. (A
driving cycle consists of a cold engine
startup
followed by mixed
city/highway
driving.)
No additional vehicle service is
required.

misfire is occurring which could
damage your catalytic converter. You

Headlight

igh-Beam
Indicator Light
This light indicates one of two things:
S The high-beam headlights are on;
S The turn-signal lever is in the flash-
to-pass position.

4x4
Indicator Light*
The 4x4 indicator light comes on when
4x4 HIGH is activated.
If this light flashes, it indicates that
there
is a
malfunction in the 4x4 system
and you should take your vehicle in for
service.

4x4 LOW Indicator
Light*
The 4x4 LOW indicator light comes on
when 4x4 LOW is activated.
If this light flashes, it indicates that
there
is a
malfunction in the 4x4 system
and you should take your vehicle in for
service.
