The driver air bag is mounted in the
center
of the steering wheel and remains
out of sight until activated.
The passenger air bag is mounted in the
upper right hand section of the instru-
ment panel and remains out of sight
until activated. It is not intended to pro-
vide protection to the center occupant’s
position.

Passenger Air Bag
It
is important for
front seat passengers’
safety that they remain properly seated
whenever the vehicle is moving. This
means that small children should be
secured
in appropriate
child safety seats.
All other occupants should sit upright,
with
their backs against the seatback,
and
restrained by lap and shoulder belts. No
passenger should sit toward the front
edge
of the
seat, or stand or lean near the
air bag cover (which is near the glove
box).
