STEP INSPECTION ACTION
Yes Go to the next step.

VERIFY NUMBER OF REGISTERED
KEYS
• Using the WDS or equivalent, perform
the PID/data monitor inspection and
confirm the number of registered keys.
(See PID/DATA MONITOR TABLE .)
• Are one or more keys registered?
No Go to Step 3.
Yes
Using the WDS or equivalent, clear the key ID
numbers as necessary, then go to the next step.

• Are eight keys registered?
No Go to the next step.
Yes
Replace the keyless control module and perform
p
rocedures for when replacing the keyless control
module only.

INSPECT KEYLESS CONTROL
MODULE
• Using the WDS or equivalent, register
the key ID number.

COMPONENT REPLACEMENT/KEY
ADDITION AND CLEARING .)
NOTE:
• Two or more keys must be
registered to start the engine.
• Using the registered key, turn the
ignition switch to the ON position.
• Is the DTC displayed again?
 SECURITY LIGHT: 15
 WDS or equivalent:
B1601/P1260
No DTC troubleshooting completed.
