Wheel removing procedure
WARNING: If a wheel has to be removed (e.g.
to remove a punched tyre), this operation
must be carried out by a suitably equipped
workshop. If the suitable equipment or such a
workshop are not available, take the tractor
to a specialised workshop, where the tractor
will be lifted with an equipment suited to its
weight and dimensions.
Procedure
-Turnofftheengine,engagetheparkingbrakeandthe
firstgear.EngagetheParkLock(ifequipped).
- To remove a front wheel apply a jack lift of suitable
capacityatthefrontaxlenexttothewheeltoberemove
(Fig.a).
-Toremovearearwheel,usewoodenwedgesonthefront
axletoblockcompletelyanytractorswing.Useajacklift
ofsuitablecapacityinthecentreoftherearaxle(Fig.b).
-Loosenthenuts(bolts)fasteningthewheelofaboutone
turnbytheprovidedwrench.
-Beforeliftingthetractor,checktherearenopersonsnext
toitanddonottouchthetractoragainuntilitisnotagain
loweredtotheground.
-Liftthetractorafewcentimetres.
-Unscrewallnuts(bolts)thatfastenthewheelandre-
movethewheel
-Inflatethetyreifrequired.Seetheinflatingprocedure
inthischapter.
-Mountthewheeltakingtoexactlymatchthelocating
pins.Screwthenuts(bolts)downagain.
-Lowerthetractortotheground.Removethejackand
fullytightenthenuts(bolts)alternatinganut(bolt)with
theoppositeone.
- As soon as possible, take your tractor to the service
workshop to tighten the wheel nuts (bolts) to the pre-
scribedtorque.
