Check/adjustment of the auto hitch
(if equipped)
Asnecessaryoratleastevery500hourschecktheopera-
tionoftheautohitchandmakesurethelockinglatches
(1)engageandthehitchisoperatingcorrectly.
OPERATION1
Attachtheloadedtrailertotheautohitch.
OPERATION2
Raisethe three-pointlinkageto maximum height.The
locking latches should snap into lock when the hitch
reachesitsmaximumheight.
WARNING: When checking the operation of the
auto hitch, stay well clear of moving parts or
injury can result.
WARNING: Never run the engine in a closed
building. Proper ventilation is required un-
der all circumstances.
Ifthelockinglatchesdonotengagecorrectly,uniformly
adjustbothliftrodsasfollows:

Unlatchtheloadedtrailer.
OPERATION4
Raisethethree-pointlinkagetomaximumheight.
IMPORTANT:Makesurethelinksareatmax.heightbefore
adjustingtheliftrods.
OPERATION5
PlaceallcontrolsontheNEUTRALposition.
Stoptheengineandremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
OPERATION6
Removethe split pin (1) and remove theliftrodatthe
lowerend.
OPERATION7
Turntheliftrodtotherighttomakeitsorter,totheleft
tomakeitlonger.
OPERATION8
Attachtheliftrodagainandapplythesplitpin.
OPERATION9
Performoperations1to3tocheckthattheliftrod are
adjustedbythesameamountandthatthelockinglatches
engagecorrectly.
IMPORTANT: If the lift rods are adjusted too precisely, the
hydraulic system of the tractor operates under a constant
pressure, with the risk of being damaged.
WARNING: Always use specific personal safety devices
for each operation. Beware of burns caused by hot
tractor parts. [4.1.n]
WARNING: If the locking latches do not engage
correctly thecable and/or the lift rods may need
adjustment. Seeyour dealer to allow for necessary
adjustments tobe carried out.
