COMPONENTS
Considerations to follow prior to test-weighing:
• Do Not change diaper between baby’s before and after weights.
• Baby should wear the same clothing for before and after weights.
• Use bib during feeding. Remove bib prior to weights.
Note – Test-weights are always made using grams as the unit of measure because milk intake measured in grams is closely
equivalent to milliliters (ml) or cubic centimeters (cc).
Before Weight Instructions:
1. Make sure the scale is level on flat surface (see level gauge).
2. Press the On/Zero button, wait until ‘0’ appears, and verify ‘g’ for grams is indicated by the arrow on
digital display.
3. Place baby on the scale, holding one hand just above baby.
4. Wait for beep. Digital display reads LOCK.
5. The value that appears on digital display is the before weight.
6. Press the WEIGHT ENTRY button while the before weight is displayed. MEMORY WEIGHT appears
on display.
7. Remove baby from the scale and record before weight. Scale must remain on while feeding.
After Weight Instructions:
1. After feeding press the ON/ZERO button. Wait until a “0” appears on display.
2. Place baby on scale, holding one hand just above baby.
3. Wait for beep. Display reads LOCK.
4. The value that appears on digital display is the after weight.
5. Remove baby from the scale.
6. Press and hold the WEIGHT ENTRY button. Scale will calculate milk intake (ml or cc). The calculated
milk intake appears on digital display until you release the button.
7. Release the WEIGHT GAIN button. The after weight reappears on digital display.
8. Record the after weight and calculated milk intake.
