products we recommend taking the time to read and follow the instructions in this manual. As always, we
recommend all installations and service be performed by an authorized Memphis Audio dealer.
1. Find a mounting location for the CX23 Crossover
2. Be certain you are not bolting into any fuel/electric/hydraulic lines or any other surfaces that may cause damage to
your vehicle
3. Screw the CX23 to the mounting location.
4. Using the screw terminals provided, connect a minimum of 16AWG wire from the 12V+/GND/RMT terminals. The GND
connection should be the shortest amount of wire possible. The 12V+ wire should connect directly to the vehicles
battery and a 3A Fuse should be installed within 18” of the battery terminal. The RMT wire should connect to the turn-on
lead of your source unit.
5. Connect all line level inputs and outputs using high-quality RCA cables. Recheck all connections prior to powering up
Set all level controls to their minimum positions and set all crossover control switches level with your frequency
position.
6. Power on the system and slowly increase the volume to a moderate level.
7. Installation is complete, you can now use the controls on the device to set your systems audio to your desired levels.
For optimal performance, Memphis recommends using only Memphis Connection accessories. Outfitting
your system with properly sized Memphis Connection wire and accessories will dramatically boost your
listening experience and increase the durability of your Memphis Audio products.
