diagnosis of a service need is a detailed
description of the problem. That is why each
section of the booklet follows a structured
sequence, beginning with a description of the
symptoms and concluding with when the
problem started to occur and how often. There is
also a list of vehicle sounds (noises) that are
often associated with vehicle malfunctions.
