3. Insert the pinion bearing tool with the new pinion bearing into the driveshaft housing bore.

4. Tap on the head of the tool until the tool head seats against the tool flange. The pinion bearing will then be installed at the
correct height in the driveshaft housing bore.

Forward Gear Bearing Installation
1.
Using a mandrel that contacts only the inner diameter of the bearing race, press the bearing onto the forward gear.

2. Use a torch lamp to warm the gearcase in the forward gear bearing area.
