SSM DRIVE UNIT FLUID LEVEL
1. Remove the upper vent plug from the gearcase. The gear
lubricant level should be to the bottom of the vent plug hole
with the propeller shaft level.
2. If gear lubricant level is low, add fluid until gear lubricant
comes out of the vent plug opening.
3. Install the vent plug.

CHECKING TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL
The transmission must be level to check the fluid level in the
transmission.
1. Start the engine, and shift the transmission through the
FORWARD, REVERSE, and NEUTRAL positions: shut off the
engine.
2. Remove the dipstick and check the fluid level against the
markings on the measure.
3.
Add fluid (Type F
1.
, ATF) in 200 cc (½ pint) intervals until the
level is at, or just below the FULL mark, do not overfill.
CLOSED COOLING SYSTEM
The fluid in the coolant reservoir level should be maintained
according to engine coolant temperature.
1. Use type FA only if type F is not available
