Batteries, Charging and Temperature
Batteries and Charging
Your headset contains a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. Charge
only in accordance with these warnings and other instructions. Your
controllers may come with user-replaceable AA batteries. Use of a damaged Meta Quest or
improper use of the batteries or power adapter may cause a fire, explosion, battery leakage,
overheating or other hazard and result in serious injury or property damage. Do not charge
or use your headset or controllers if you know or suspect that any of them are damaged.
If battery fluid is leaking, do not allow the liquid to contact your skin or eyes. If contact
occurs, wash the affected area with large amounts of water and seek medical assistance.
Do not attempt to charge or use the headset or controllers if they are damaged, do not turn on
after attempted charging, if they get abnormally warm when used or charged, or if the battery
compartments are swollen, leaking liquid or smoking.
Replacement

serviceable. Do not attempt to access the battery, or to open, repair or replace the battery.
