34. Lubricate and check security of 12V battery terminals
a. Check security of 12V battery terminals.
b. Lubricate battery terminals using petroleum jelly or other
suitable material.
c. Ensure that cover is correctly fitted over the battery/positive
terminal.
d. Ensure correct fitment of battery blanket.
35. Check 12V battery charge & record voltage (charge if
necessary)
a. Use suitable test equipment to examine voltage of the 12V
battery – follow equipment instructions and record data.
36. Check/top-up brake and screen washer fluids
a. Check and if necessary top-up brake fluid with the recommended
fluid.
b. Top-up screen washer reservoir, make sure top-up container is
clean and free of debris.
