1.6.4 WIRING INPUT SIGNAL
Connect AC current signal wires.
IMPORTANT
• Prepare a current transformer (CT) or a clamp type current sensor.
• When the input current is 5 A or less, direct input is available without using a CT.
• With direct input without a CT, do not ground the input circuit.
• With a low-voltage circuit, grounding the CT secondary is not necessary.
• While current is in the CT primary, opening circuit at the secondary produces a high voltage at the secondary and may
cause a breakdown or a burnout accident. Do not open circuit at the secondary.
• The input frequency must be 40 to 100 Hz for the input codes A1’, A2’ and A3’, and 45 to 65 Hz for A4’ and A5’.
• The input waveform must be up to 15% of 3rd harmonic content.
• For safety, make sure that wiring is performed by qualied personnel only.
• In order to prevent potential electric shock, wire the unit after cutting the input signal and making sure that the power is
not supplied to the cable.
• Use wires as thick as possible.
• Ground with the resistance 100 Ω or less.
• Do not connect anything to unused terminals.
