Overview
Thebrakesystemcanbedividedintoparkingbrakesystem
andservicebrakesystemaccordingtodifferentfunctions.
Theparkingbrakesystemreferstoabrakesystemthat
cankeepthestoppedcarstayinplace,suchastheso
calledhandbrake.Theservicebrakesystemreferstoa
brakesystemthatcanslowdowntherunningcarandeven
stopit,suchasthesocalledfootbrake.Theservicebrake
systemisusuallyequippedwithanauxiliarybrakesystem.
Theauxiliarybrakesystemreferstoasystemthatwill
automaticallyapplythemostappropriatepressuretothe
brakebydetectingthebrakingforceincaseofemergency
braking,whichhelpstoreducethebrakingdistance,but
cannotstopthevehicleinemergency.
Note:Theservicebrakesystemandtheparking
brakesystemarewhatmustbeequippedineach
vehicle.However,notallvehiclesareequippedwith
anauxiliarybrakesystem.

releaseisnotpossible,pleaseconsultan
MGAuthorisedRepairerinordertocarry
outanemergencymanualreleaseofthe
parkingbrake.
TheEPBsystemcanbeturnedonandoffthroughthe
