Note:Ifthevehicleaheadmakesharshacceleration
ordeceleration,theadaptivecruisecontrolmaybe
unabletomaintainthefollowingdistanceaccurately;
inthiscase,thedrivershallmakeappropriate
operationssuchasdepressingthebrakepedalor
changingthelaneaccordingtothesurroundingtrafc
androadconditions.
AdaptiveCruisePause
Whentheadaptivecruisecontrolsystemisactivated,short
pressthePilotswitch(2)tocancelthefunction,andthe
systemwillexittotheStandbystate.
AutomaticDeactivationofAdaptiveCruise
Inthefollowingsituations,theACCmaybeautomatically
deactivated,whichrequiresthedrivertomanipulatethe
vehicleonhis/herown:
•TheACCoptionexitsintheintelligentdrivingonthe
entertainmentdisplay.
•Depressthebrakepedalwhenthevehicleisnot
stationary.
•MovetheshiftlevertoanygearotherthanDrivegear.
•Thedriverseatbeltisunfastened.
•Theacceleratorpedalispressedforalongtime.
•Anydoorisopened.
•PulluptheEPBswitch.
•Followthevehicleaheadtoastopandthestoptime
exceedsacertaintime.
•Cameraobscuredorunclear(smudged,frosted),
cameraunabletofocus,cameraunabletocalibrate,and
camerafailureduetoweatherdamagetothecamera's
eldofviewsuchaslowsunaltitude,glare,roadway
waterspray,icywindscreen,rain,snow,fog,etc.,or
systemmalfunction.
Iffollowingthevehicleaheadtoastopwiththeadaptive
cruisecontrolsystemenabled,ifanyofthefollowing
conditionsoccurwhilstthevehicleisinastoppedstate,
theEPBwillautomaticallybeapplied:
•Thedriverunfastenshis/herseatbelt
•Thedriverdoorisopen.
•Thestoptimeexceedsalongtime
AdaptiveCruiseOverride
Ifthedriverpressestheacceleratorpedalwiththeadaptive
cruisecontrolsystemactivated,thevehiclewillkeepthe
