•Thesystemdetectsthelanelinesonbothsidesofthe
vehicle;
•ThevehicleisinDrivegear.
AshortpressonthePilotswitchactivatestheintelligent
cruiseassistsystem.Theintelligentcruiseassistsystem
worksonthebasisofadaptivecruisecontrolsystem.If
thelanelinesaheadonbothsidesareclear,thesystem
willassistthevehicleindrivingwithinthelanelines;atlow
speeds,ifthereareothervehiclesaheadandthelanelines
arenotclear,thesystemcanassistthevehicleinfollowing
thetrackofthevehicleahead.
Note:WhenACCisactiveandtheaboveconditions
aremet,theintelligentcruiseassistsystemcanbe
activatedwithoutpressingthePilotswitch.
Whenthesystemdetectsthatthedriverhasnotcontrolled
thesteeringwheelinacertainperiodoftime,itwillgive
warningstopromptthedriver .
Note:Thedrivershalladjustthevehiclespeedand
thefollowingdistanceaccordingtotheroadvisibility,
weatherandroadconditions.Theintelligentcruise
assist(ICA)systemdoesnotrespondtopedestrians,
animals,stationaryvehiclesandvehiclesthatdrive
acrossthelaneoroncomingvehiclesonthesamelane.
Iftheintelligentcruiseassistsystemcannotreducethe
vehiclespeedsufciently,thedrivershallapplythe
brakebydepressingthebrakepedal.Ifanothervehicle
cutsintothecurrentlaneundercongestedconditions,
thesystemmaynotbraketimelyduetothefactthat
thecut-invehicledoesnotenteritsdetectionrange,
andthedrivershallactivelyapplythebrake.
Theintelligentcruiseassistsystemwillbe
limitedordoesnotworkinthefollowing
conditions:
•Thedriverturnsontheturnsignallamp,depressesthe
acceleratorpedalrapidly,makesemergencysteeringor
depressesthebrakepedalhard;
•ThevehicleisinReversegear;
•Thesystemrecognizesthatthedriverdoesnot
manipulatethesteeringwheelforaperiodoftime,
orthedriveroperatesthesteeringwheelwhenthe
systemimplementscontrol;
