Thepurposeoftheparkingassistsystemis
onlytoassistthedriverduringparking!The
ultrasonicsensorsmaynotbeabletodetect
certaintypesofobstruction,e.g.narrow
posts,smallobjectsclosetotheground,
objectsabovethetailgateandsomeobjects
withnonreectivesurfaces.
Keeptheultrasonicsensorsfreeofdirt,
iceandsnow.Ifdepositsbuildupon
thesurfaceofanultrasonicsensor,its
performancemaybeimpaired.When
washingthecar,avoidaiminghighpressure
waterjetsdirectlyattheultrasonicsensors
fromcloserange.
RearPDCSystem
Theultrasonicsensorsontherearbumpermonitorthe
areabehindthevehicletosearchforobstacles.Ifan
obstacleisdetected,thesystemwillcalculateitsdistance
fromtherearofthevehicleandcommunicatesthemessage
tothedriverbysoundingwarningchimes.
FrontPDCSystem
Thefrontbumperisalsoequippedwithultrasonicsensors
tomonitortheareaaheadofthevehicletosearchfor
obstacles.Ifanobstacleisdetected,thesystemcalculates
itsdistancefromthefrontofthevehicleandtransmitsthe
messagetothedriverwithanaudiblealarm.

ThefrontandrearPDCsystemscanbeenabledbythe
followingoperations:
•SelectRgear;
•T aptheradarwarningalarmswitch;
ThefrontandrearPDCsystemscanbeshutoffbythe
followingoperations:
•MovetheshiftlevertoPgear;
•Vehiclespeedexceeds15km/h.
•T aptheradarwarningalarmswitch;
