TheeCall-SOSserviceisapublicserviceofgeneral
interestandisaccessiblefreeofcharge.Theemergency
callcentrewillestablishverbalcommunicationwiththe
vehicleoccupantsinordertounderstandtheextentof
theemergencyandthelevelofassistancerequired.If
verbalcommunicationisnotachievable,anattemptwillbe
madetosendthefollowingvehicleinformationmessage
totheemergencycallcentre.Theappropriateemergency
serviceswillbedeployedtothevehicle'scurrentlocation
ifknown.
•Currenttime,locationanddirectionoftravel
•Vehiclefueltype
•Vehicleidenticationnumber(VIN)
•Whetherthecallwasautomaticallyormanuallyinitiated
•Vehiclecategory
•Numberofoccupants
Thissystemwillensurethatyourpersonaldataissecurely
protected.Itisdesignedtoensurethatitisnottraceable
andotherexternalsystemsarenotabletogainaccess.
WhentheeCalltriggers,thesystemwillonlytransmitthe
datainformationtotherelevantpublicsafetyanswering
pointsdesignatedbytherespectivepublicauthoritiesof
thecountryonwhichterritorytheyarelocated,which
willreceiveandprocessyouremergencycallrequest.The
systemwillretaindatalocallywithin13hoursoftriggering.
Y ouhavetherighttoaccessthedatainformationstored
inthissystem,andtorequesttherectication,erasure
orblockingofdatainformationthatdoesnotmeetthe
requirementsoftheregulations.Whenyouthinkyour
personaldataisinfringed,youhavetherighttocomplain
tothecompetentdataprotectionauthority.
Inanaccident,yourvehicle'seCall-SOSEmergency
Assistancecaneitherbetriggeredmanuallyorinsevere
casesautomaticallyupondetectionbyvehicle'ssensors.
PresstheSOSbuttonintheoverheadconsolefor1
secondtomanuallyactivateanemergencyservicescall.A
singlebeepwillbeheardwhentheeCallistriggeredand
amessagewillbedisplayedonthevehicle'sinstrument
packandentertainmentsystem.Theentertainment
systemwillbemutedwhilsttheemergencyservicescallis
active.Manuallytriggeredemergencyservicescallsmaybe
cancelledbypressingandreleasingtheSOSbuttonagain
within5secondsoftheinitialpress.
