T oreplacethewindscreenwiperblade,putitintheservice
positionbeforeoperation.
1Withthebonnetclosed,taptheicononthe
entertainmentdisplayandselect"Status-Power
Off".Within20secondsafterpower-off,pressdown
thewiperstalkswitchtoSingleWipeposition(see
'WipersandWashers'in'InstrumentsandControls'
section)andrelease,thewiperwillautomaticallymove
totheservicepositionandstoponthewindscreen.
2Liftthewiperarmawayfromthewindscreen.
3Pressthebuttononthewiperarm(asillustrated),
andpulltheupperendofthewiperbladeoutwardto
disengagefromthewiperarm.
4Unhookthebladefromthewiperarmanddiscard.
5Locatethenewwiperintotheslotofthewiperarm.
6Pushthewiperbladetowardsthewiperarmuntilthe
wiperbladeisfullyembedded.
7Putthewiperassemblybackontothewindscreen,and
checkwhetherthewiperbladeisxedcorrectlyonto
thewiperarm.
8Whenthevehicleispoweredon(referto"Starting
andStoppingPowerSystem"inthechapter"Starting
andDriving"),thewiperwillexittheservicemodeand
automaticallyreturntoitsoriginalposition.
