ResumingtheAdaptiveCruise
Ifthedriverpressestheacceleratorpedalwiththeadaptive
cruisecontrolsystemactivated,thevehiclewillkeepthe
'Cruise'stateandspeedup.Whentheacceleratorpedalis
released,theACCwillresumetothepresettargetcruise
speed.
Whentheacceleratorpedalispressedforalong
time,theadaptivecruisecontrolsystemmayexitto
'Standby'state.
AdaptiveCruiseResume
Iftheadaptivecruisecontrolremainsonafterthepause,
reactivateitbymovingtheknobontheleftofsteering
wheelupward.Inthiscase,thetargetcruisespeedis
thetargetspeedbeforeexitingtheadaptivecruisecontrol
system.
ClearingT argetSpeedMemory
Switchingtheintelligentdrivingontheentertainment
displaytoothermodeswillturnofftheadaptivecruise
controlsystem,synchronouslyclearingthesystem'sset
speedinthememory.Poweringoffthevehiclewillalso
clearthesetspeedstored.
Theadaptivecruisecontrolsystemislimited
ordoesnotworkevenifitisenabled,
includingbutnotlimitedtothefollowing
conditions:
Encountersawheelorobjectwhichisstationaryor
traversesthelanes;
Approachthevehicleaheadsofastthatthesystem
cannotapplysufcientbrakes;
Thereisoncomingtrafcorthevehicleaheadapplies
itsemergencybrakes;
Thevehicleaheadreverses;
Thevehicleaheadsuddenlycutsout;
Encountersavehicledrivingatalowspeed;
Encountersavehiclewithloadeditemsprotrudingfrom
thebodycontour;
Encountersavehiclewithahigherchassis(e.g.,atruck);
Encounterspedestrians,non-motorvehiclesoranimals;
Thevehicleisdrivingonanunevenroadoracomplex
trafcroadsection;
