ResumingtheAdaptiveCruise
Ifthedriverpressestheacceleratorpedalwiththeadaptive
cruisecontrolsystemactivated,thevehiclewillkeepthe
'Cruise'stateandspeedup.Whentheacceleratorpedalis
released,theACCwillresumetothepresettargetcruise
speed.
Whentheacceleratorpedalispressedforalong
time,theadaptivecruisecontrolsystemmayexitto
'Standby'state.
AdaptiveCruiseResume
Iftheadaptivecruisecontrolremainsonafterthepause,
reactivateitbymovingtheknobontheleftofsteering
wheelupward.Inthiscase,thetargetcruisespeedis
thetargetspeedbeforeexitingtheadaptivecruisecontrol
system.
ClearingT argetSpeedMemory
Switchingtheintelligentdrivingontheentertainment
displaytoothermodeswillturnofftheadaptivecruise
controlsystem,synchronouslyclearingthesystem'sset
speedinthememory.Poweringoffthevehiclewillalso
clearthesetspeedstored.
Theadaptivecruisecontrolsystemislimited
ordoesnotworkevenifitisenabled,
includingbutnotlimitedtothefollowing
conditions:
•Encountersawheelorobjectwhichisstationaryor
traversesthelanes;
•Approachthevehicleaheadsofastthatthesystem
cannotapplysufcientbrakes;
•Thereisoncomingtrafcorthevehicleaheadapplies
itsemergencybrakes;
•Thevehicleaheadreverses;
•Thevehicleaheadsuddenlycutsout;
•Encountersavehicledrivingatalowspeed;
•Encountersavehiclewithloadeditemsprotrudingfrom
thebodycontour;
•Encountersavehiclewithahigherchassis(e.g.,atruck);
•Encounterspedestrians,non-motorvehiclesoranimals;
•Thevehicleisdrivingonanunevenroadoracomplex
trafcroadsection;
