Itisofequalimportanceforpassengersinthe
rearseattofastentheirseatbeltscorrectly.
Otherwise,passengerswithseatbeltsnot
correctlyfastenedwillbethrownforwardin
accidents,andwillendangerthemselvesas
wellasthedriverandotherpassengers.
Whenthevehicleisinmotion,thetravellingspeedofthe
occupantsisidenticaltothatofthevehicle.
Intheeventofa'headoncollision'oremergencybraking,
thevehiclemaystop,buttheoccupantswillcarryon
travellinguntiltheycomeintocontactwithastationary
object.
Thisobjectmaybethesteeringwheel,dashboard,
windscreenandothers.Acorrectlyfastenedseatbeltwill
eliminatethisriskofinjury.
Whentheseatbeltisworncorrectly,itwilllock
automaticallyincollisionaccidentsoremergencybraking
toreduceyourspeedtogetherwiththevehicle,soas
topreventtheout-of-controlmovementwhichmay
causeseriousinjurytodriverandpassengers.Underthe
protectionofseatbelt,youwillhavelongerdistanceand
moretimetostopmoving,andthestrongestboneinyour
bodywillbeartheimpactforce.Thatiswhyitisimportant
tofastentheseatbeltcorrectly.
Whenminortrafcaccidentoccurs,tryingtoshoreup
yourbodywitharmsisverydangerous.Eventhelow
speedcollisionwillgenerateforcethatarmsandhandscan
notsupport,therefore,seatbeltsmustbeworncorrectly
duringdriving.
