•Avoidunnecessarystoppingandbraking,maintain
steadyspeedandattempttoanticipatetrafclights.
Keepanappropriatedistancefromothervehiclesto
avoidemergencebrakingandreducebrakepadwear.
•Avoidtrafccongestionandjamareasasmuchas
possible.
•Donotridethebrakepedal,thiscancausepremature
wear,overheatingandincreasedfuelconsumption.
•Maintainanappropriatespeedonthehighway.Higher
speedsusemorefuel.Appropriatespeedcansavefuel.
•Maintainthecorrectwheelalignment.Avoidcollision
withthekerbandreducespeedonunevenroad
surfaces.Outofspecicationwheelalignmentwillnot
onlyleadtoexcessivetyrewear,butalsoincreasesthe
engineloadandfuelconsumption.
•Avoiddrivingonmudorbeaches.Thiswillprevent
corrosionofthevehicleunderside.
•MaintainthevehicleinaccordancewithMG
recommendations.Dirtyairlters,oiletc.,willreduce
theengine'sperformanceandraisefuelconsumption.
T oextendthelifeofallcomponentsandreduce
operatingcosts,regularMGApprovedmaintenanceis
needed.
•Donotstoptheenginestraightafterhighspeedorlong
ascentsortowingatrailer.Allowtheenginetoidlefor
20to100secondsdependingupondrivingloadsand
conditions.Avoidhardaccelerationonacoldengine.
