Note:TPMSonlywarnsoflowtyrepressures,itdoes
notre-inatethetire.
SystemOperation
ThesystemiscontrolledbytheSCSsystem,
whichconstantlymonitorsthespeedofeachwheel.If,
duringnormaldrivingconditionswiththebrakesnot
applied,theSCSdetectsthatonewheelisrotatingfaster
thantheothers,itdeducesthatthepressureofthattyre
hasfallenbelowthepredenedlimitofthesystem.As
aresult,thewarninglightontheinstrumentpackwill
illuminate(alwaysyellow).
Checkyourtyresattheearliestopportunityandreinate
tothecorrectpressures.Referto‘T yrePressures(Cold)’.
SystemMalfunction
Thissystemisself-monitoring,ifamalfunctionisdetected,
theTPMSwarninglamp(yellow)ontheinstrumentpack
willashfor90secondsrstandthenilluminate.
Note:Whenapunctureisdetected,thesystemwill
requiresometimetoanaliseinformationpriorto
illuminatingthewarninglamp.
Undercertainconditionsthewarninglightmayilluminate
whenafaultisnotpresent.theseconditionsinclude:
Drivingonicyorwetsurfaces.
Frontaxlesliporexcessivelateralacceleration.
Snowchainstted.
Anonrecommendedtyretted(includingsparetyre).
TPMSnotresetaftertyrereplacement.
TPMSnotresetaftertyrepressureadjustment.
Roughterraindrivingforexcessiveperiods.
Bendingormountaintypeterraindrivingforexcessive
periods.
Excessiveluggageweightchangefromwhenlastreset
carriedout.
TPMSwillnotrespondimmediatelyifatyre'blowsout'.
