autostartthereforethefollowingactions
couldbedangerous:
1Leavingthevehiclewhiletheseatbeltis
stillbuckled,orthereisasubstituteseat
beltbuckleinserted.
2Vehicleswithautomatictransmission:
Leavingthevehiclewhilethegear
selectorisstillinDriveposition
(R/D/S/W/Tiptronic).
3Carryingoutworkorchecksintheengine
compartment.
4Refuellingthevehicle,theignitionmust
beswitched“OFF”orthekeyremoved
fromtheswitch.

•Thedriver’sdoorisclosedandseatbeltissecured.
•Thebonnetisclosed.
•Nodemandsonthesteering(autoonly).

StopStartwillnotoperateif:
•Coolanttemperatureisbelowapresetlimit(4segments
ongauge).
•Frontdefrostison.
•Batterypowerisbelowapresetlimit.
•Cabintemperatureversusambienttemperature
differenceismorethan5˚C.
•A/Cblowerspeedissettospeed4oraboveinmanual
mode.
