Ifanyofthefollowingconditionsoccurduringautomatic
enginestop,theenginecanonlyberestartedusingthe
key,duringthistimetheinstrumentpackindicatorwill
extinguish.
Thedriversideseatbeltisunbuckled.
Thedriversidedoorisopen.
Bonnetisopen.
AtthistimetheStop/Startfuelsavingsystemindicator
ontheinstrumentwillextinguishtoindicateenginestart
phase.(1ingure):
StallAssist
OnceStop/Startintelligentfuelsavingsystemisenabled
withoutinhibitionconditions.
Onmanualvehicles,iftheenginecutsout,orisstalled
whilstStop/Startisenabled,selectionofneutraland
pressingtheclutchpedalwillautomaticallyrestartthe
engine.
Note:Extremelylowbatterypowermayresultinthe
enginenotre-startingautomatically,orevenusing
thehandsetkey.Inthisinstance,externalpoweris
neededtostarttheengineorthebatterywillrequire
re-charging.Seethesection‘EmergencyStarting’in
the‘EmergencyInformation’Chapter.
Battery
Whenchargingthebattery,startingthecar
withanexternalpowersourceorsupplying
powerfromthevehicle,thenegativecable
mustbeconnectedtoasuitablepositionon
thevehiclebody.Failuretodothiswillresult
ininaccuratebatterypowercalculation
whichwilleffectautomaticStop/Start
control.
DONOTdisconnectthebatterysensorunless
absolutelynecessary.removalwillresultin
inaccuratebatterypowercalculationwhich
willeffectautomaticStop/Startcontrol.
