remove7angednuts,securingintakemanifoldto
cylinderhead.
4.Remove2boltssecuringcoolantoutletelbowto
cylinderhead.Removeelbowanddiscardgasket.
5.Remove2boltssecuringcamshaftsealblankingplateto
cylinderheadandremoveplate.
6.Removeanydebrisfromsparkplugrecesses.
7.Removesparkplugs.
8.Checkcamshaftend-oatusingaDTI(referto
specication).
9.Ifend-oatisexcessive,tnewcamshaft(s)andrepeat
check.Ifend-oatisstillexcessive,replacecylinder
headandcamshaftcarrierassembly.
10.Workinginthesequenceshown,progressivelyloosen
26boltssecuringcamshaftcarriertocylinderheaduntil
valvespringpressureisreleased.
11.Releasecamshaftcarrierfromlocatingdowels,remove
camshaftcarrierandsupportonwoodenblocks.
12.Suitablyidentifyeachcamshafttoitsttedposition,
removecamshafts.
