a.Ensuresteeringsystemisfreefromleaksandmaintain
maximumuidlevelduringtest.
b.Withthetestrigvalveopen,starttheengine.
c.Withtheengineatidleandnormalrunning
temperature,slowlyturnthesteeringwheeland
holdonlock.
d.Repeatpressuretestonoppositelock.
e.Thetestpressureshouldprogressivelyrisefrom5bar
to90bar,dependantonroadsurface.Pressurewill
riseto90barwhenthesteeringisheldonfulllock.
f.Withtheengineatidle,releasethesteeringwheel.
Pressureshouldread5barorbelow.
g.Pressureoutsidetheabovetoleranceindicatesafault.
15.Removetestequipmentfromadaptors.
16.RemoveadaptorsfromPASpumpandsteeringrack
feedpipe.
17.Fitnewsealingwashers,connectfeedpipetoPAS
pump,tandtightenbanjoboltto38–42Nm.
18.Cleanchassisandsurroundingarea.
19.CheckPASuidlevel.
20.Connectbatteryearthlead.

powersteeringuidfromacleancontaineruntiluid
