batteryleads,earthrstandwait10minutesfor
theSRSback-uppowercircuittodischargebefore
commencingwork.
2.Removesteeringwheel.

5.Disconnectelectricsteeringcolumnlockconnector.
6.Peelbackcarpetandpullbacksealtorevealbolt
securingsteeringcolumnuniversaljointtosteering
rack.
7.Removenutandboltsecuringsteeringcolumnuniversal
jointtosteeringrackanddiscardnut.
8.Releaseuniversaljointfromsteeringrack.
9.Remove4boltssecuringsteeringcolumntobracket.
10.Disconnect2clipssecuringsteeringcolumnharnessto
steeringcolumnandpositionsteeringcolumnharness
aside.
11.Removesteeringcolumnassembly.
Ret
1.Locateuniversaljointtosteeringrackensuringcorrect
orientation.
2.Fitnewself-lockingnutandbolttosecuresteering
joint,lightlytightenbolt.
3.Checkthataclearanceof4mmexistsbetweensteering
jointandaperturesealat12o'clockposition.
4.Ifclearanceislessthan4mm,slackenpinionandlever
upwardsuntilclearanceiscorrect.
5.Tightenuniversaljointnutto20–25Nm.
6.Fitboltssecuringsteeringcolumntobodyandtighten
to21–25Nm
7.Retsealandrepositioncarpet.
8.Connectharnesstosteeringcolumn.
9.Connectelectricsteeringcolumnlockconnector .
10.Fitcolumncover.
