3.Remove4boltssecuringrotarycouplertosteering
column.
4.Disconnect5multiplugsfromrotarycoupler .
5.Removerotarycouplerfromsteeringcolumn.
Ret
Caution:Ifthepegonanewrotarycouplerisbroken,or
ifyoususpectthattherotarycouplerhasbeendropped
ormishandled,discardthecoupler.
1.Ensurethefrontroadwheelsarepointingstraight
ahead.Positionrotarycouplertosteeringcolumnand
connectmultiplugs.
2.Securerotarycouplertosteeringcolumnwithbolts
andtightento4–5.5Nm.
3.Removetapefromrotarycouplerorremovelocking
pegifttinganewrotarycoupler.
4.Ensuretherotarycouplerisinstalledinitscentral
position.T oobtaincentreposition,rotatecoupler
gentlyclockwiseandanticlockwiseuntilthewhite
segmentappearsontheindicatorwheel.
5.Fitsteeringcolumncover .

7.Connectthebatteryearthlead.
8.Systemcheck:T urnrotarycoupler,checkthat
SRSwarninglampswitchesonfor4secondsthen
switchesoff.
9.Checkthatheadlamps,wiper/washersandsteering
wheelcontrolsfunctionnormally.
