MG ZS Series - Mislock Indicator Function; Inadvertent Key Locking Scenarios; Anti-Theft Alarm Sounder Deactivation

Ifthedriver'sdoorisnotfullyclosedwhenthesmartkey
lockbuttonispressed,orthevehiclepowersystemhas
notbeenswitchedOFF ,thevehiclehornwillsoundonce,
indicatingamislock.Inthiscase,noneofthedoorswill
lock,thealarmsystemwillnotbearmedandthedirection
indicatorlightswillnotash.
Ifthedriver'sdoorisclosed,thepassengerdoor ,bonnet
andtailgatearenotfullyclosed,thehornsoundsonceto
indicatemislockwhenthecarundergoeslockingoperation.
However,the‘partialarming’attributesofthesecurity
systemwillenableasmuchofthesystemtobearmedas
possible(allfullycloseddoors,bonnetortailgateapertures
willbeprotected,butanopendoorwillnot!).Thealarm
indicatorwillash.Assoonastheopenapertureisclosed,
thesystemwillautomaticallyreverttoanarmedstate
InadvertentLockingofKeysinVehicle
Ifthevehicleislockedusingthemechanicalkeybladeor
handsetwhilstasmartkey/sremaininside,thefollowing
actionswilloccur:
•Onesmartkeylockedinthevehicle-The
immobilisationreleasefunctionofthesmartkeylocked
inthevehicleissuspended,thelockandunlockfunction
ofthesmartkeyisretained.Thevehiclewillnotchange
powerstate.T oreinstatetheimmobiliserrelease
functionofthesmartkeylockedinthevehiclethe
secondsmartkeyshouldbeusedtounlockthevehicle.
Thefunctionwillautomaticallybereinstated.
•Bothsmartkeyslockedinvehicle-Theimmobilisation
releasefunctionofbothsmartkeyslockedinthevehicle
issuspended,thelockandunlockfunctionofthesmart
keysisretained.Thevehiclewillnotchangepower
state.Thereinstatementofkeyfunctionscanonlybe
carriedoutusingtheapproveddiagnostictool.Consult
anMGAuthorisedRepairerimmediately.
Anti-theftAlarmSounder
Iftheanti-theftalarmhasbeentriggered,thecarhornwill
soundcontinuously.PresstheUNLOCKbuttononthe
key,theanti-theftalarmwillbedeactivated.
