Whenparkingthevehicle,pleaseensurethe
vehicleisparkedsafelyandthatalltrafc
by-lawsareobserved.
MotorOverheatingProtectionofElectricDrive
System
Theelectricdrivesystemmaybecomeveryhotina
high-temperatureenvironmentwithfrequentstarting,
frequentrapidaccelerationanddeceleration,long-term
continuoussteepclimbing,andoverloadoftheelectric
drivesystem.Inordertopreventdamagetothemotor,the
systemwillperformanoverheatingprotectionfunction,
thewarningindicator
illuminates,andthewarning
message“MotorOverheating”displayssimultaneously.
Afterafewseconds,thewarningmessagewilldisappear
butthewarningindicator
willremainon.
Inthiscase,parkyourvehiclesafelyorkeepalowload
andcontinuetodriveyourvehicleataconstantspeedto
coolthemotor.Onlywhenthemotortemperaturehas
decreased,thewarningindicatorisoff,andthewarning
messagedisappears,canthevehiclebedrivennormally.
Iftheelectricdrivesystemhascooleddownforalong
time(about20minutes)andthewarningindicatorhas
notdisappeared,pleaseparkthevehiclesafelyandseek
anMGAuthorisedRepairerimmediately,otherwiseitmay
seriouslydamagetheelectricdrivesystem.
Caution
Whenthemotoroftheelectricdrivesystemisunder
overheatingprotection,inordertoavoiddamageto
themotor,thepowerofthevehiclewillbelimited(the
informationcentrewilldisplay“PowerLimited,Limiting
Speed”,andwarningindicator
willilluminate).After
decelerating,thewarningswilldisappearwhenthe
motortemperaturereturnstonormal.
MotorFaultofElectricDriveSystem
Ifafaultorfailureisdetectedinthemotororthepower
electronicboxofelectricdrivesystem,thewarning
message“MotorFault”andiconwillbedisplayedinthe
