ElectronicBrakeForceDistribution(EBD)
Y ourcarisequippedwithElectronicBrakeForce
Distribution,which,inordertomaintainbrakingefciency,
distributesbrakingforcesbetweenfrontandrearwheels,
underallloadconditions.
EBDintegratesamonitoringsystem.Themonitoring
systemislinkedtothebrakesystemmalfunctionindicator
lampontheinstrumentpack.Referto"WarningLights
andIndicators"in"InstrumentsandControls"section.
Iftheindicatorlampilluminateswhiledriving,orremains
illuminatedafterthevehiclepowersystemisswitched
ON/READY,itindicatesthereisafailurewiththebraking
system,andEBDmaybeinoperative.Insuchacase,
stopthecarassoonassafetypermitsandseekanMG
AuthorisedRepairerimmediately.DONOTdrivethe
carwiththebrakingsystemmalfunctionindicatorlamp
illuminated.
ElectronicBrakeAssistance(EBA)
Y ourcarisequippedwithElectronicBrakeAssist,which
reactstothespeedatwhichthebrakepedalisapplied.If,
inanemergencysituationthebrakesareappliedfasterthan
thelimitssetwithinthesystem,thenfullABSapplicationis
appliedtobringthecartoastopintheshortestpossible
distance.
HillHoldControl(HHC)
HHChaslimitationswhensubjecttoadverse
conditionssuchaswetoricysurfacesand
steepslopes.
HHCisnotasubstituteforparkingbrake
applicationwhencarryingoutahillstart.
DONOTexitthevehiclewithonlyHHC
applied,itmayleadtoaseriousaccident
whenHHCreleases.
