Alwaysensurethebrakepedalispressedor
electronicparkingbrakeapplieduntildriveis
takenup.
Firmapplicationofthebrakepedalwhen
stoppingisrequiredbyHHCtogenerate
sufcientbrakepressuretomaintainhold.
HillHoldControlisacomfortfunction.Itworkson
inclineswhenthecardetectsithascometoa‘standstill
status’.AslongasDorRisselectedandthebrakepedal
released,thevehiclewillmaintainpressureinthebraking
systemfor1–2seconds.Afterthis,theHillHoldwill
release.
HHCassiststhedriverby'holding'thevehicleduringhill
starts.
ThefollowingconditionsmustbefullledtoactivateHHC:
•Thedriver'sdoorisclosedandthedriverseatbeltis
fastened.
•Thevehicleisstoppedonaslopeinexcessof4%and
formorethan2seconds.
•SCSisactiveandfaultfree.
•EPBisreleasedandfaultfree.
•InDorRgear.
•PowersystemisREADY/RUNNING.
•Sufcientbrakepedalapplicationforcehasbeenapplied.
Ifthedriverreleasesthebrakepedalonahill,HHCwill
maintainbrakepressurefor1-2seconds,afterthisperiod
thevehiclemayrollbackwards.
