TheHDCsystemisonlyanauxiliary
function.Ithaslimitationswhensubjectto
adverseconditionssuchaswetoricysurfaces
andsteepslopes.TheHDCsystemcannot
overcomethelawsofphysics,alwaysensure
thatthevehicleisdrivendownsteepslopes
atlowspeeds.
EvenwhentheHDCsystemisswitchedon,
thedrivermustalwayspaycloseattention
tothedrivingstateofthevehicle,andtake
activecontrolwhennecessary.Incertain
cases,HDCmaybesuspendedorswitched
offtemporarily.
Duringsomedrivingconditionsondownhill
surfaces(e.g.drivingdownaslopeat
highspeedorsmallslope,etc.),HDCis
inoperative,thedrivermustmaintaincontrol
ofthevehicleatalltimesandusebrake
applicationstoensuresafety.
TheHDCsystemisanauxiliaryfunctionspeciallydesigned
fordrivingonacutedownhillgradients.Thesystem
reducesthespeedbyapplyingbrakeforce,thusassisting
thedrivertodriveonacutedownhillsurfaceswithlow
speeds.
PleaseDONOTusethisfunctionwhendrivingonthe
ordinaryroads.
WhentheHDCisworking,thebrakesystemmay
generatestrongvibrationsornoise.Itisnormalduring
theoperationofHDC.
Note:Duringtheoperationofthehilldescentcontrol
(HDC)system,pleasedonotmovetheshiftcontrol
knobtothe"N"position.Suchoperationmay
deactivatetheHDCfunction.

WhenthevehiclepowersystemisplacedinON/READY
position,HDCsystemdefaultstooff.Usetheswitch
functionwithintheinfotainmentsystemtoturntheHDC
systemon/off.
