STARTING&DRIVING
WhentheautoholdisintheParkingstate,engagingDorR
andpressingtheacceleratorwillautomaticallyreleasethe
autoholdfunction.
Insomecircumstancessuchasreleasingtheseatbelt,
switchingoffthepowersystemorremainingstaticfora
lengthoftimeitwillresultinthevehicleexitingtheauto
holdParkingstate.Atthistimetheelectronicparking
brakewillremainappliedandwillrequirethedriverto
releaseitusingtheswitch.
Note:Withthebrakepedalpressed,operatingthe
switchtoturntheautoholdoff,thesystemwillNOT
applytheparkingbrake.
Note:Itisrecommendedtoturnofftheautohold
functionwhenreversingintothegarage.
ActiveRolloverProtection(ARP)
TheARPsystemcannotovercomethelawsof
physics.Itisadriveraidtoassistthestability
ofthevehicleandunderextremeconditions.
Itisnotaguaranteethatthecarwillnotroll
over.
Incaseswherethevehiclehasahighcentreofmass,rapid
orexcessivedualdirectionlanechangingmaycreatea
rollcondition.ARPmayusethebrakingsystemtoapply
certainbrakestotryandcorrecttheconditionandassist
inpreventingrollover .
Note:DuringARPapplicationthesteering
characteristicsofthevehiclemaybenoticeably
differentfromnormal.
EmergencyBrakingHazardWarningLights
Control(HAZ)
Ifthevehicleistravellinginexcessof31mph(50km/h)and
thedrivermakesanemergencybrakingmanoeuvre,the
systemwillautomaticallyashthebrakelampstoremind
thefollowingdrivers,therebyeffectivelyreducingtherisk
ofrear-endcollisionaccidents.
Note:Ifthehazardwarninglightsarebeingoperated
manually,thissuspendstheHAZfunction.
Whentheemergencybrakingmanoeuvreisexited(no
severedecelerationdetected)thenthefunctionwillbe
switchedoffafterafewseconds.
