STARTING&DRIVING
•Ensurethevehiclepowersystemissettothe
ON/READYposition,pressthebrakepedalandthe
EPBswitch.
•IftheindicatorintheEPBswitchandtheindicatorin
theinstrumentpack
areextinguished,theEPBis
released.
StartAssist
TheEPBcanpredictthedriver'sintentionand
automaticallyreleasetheEPB.
Ifthedriver'sseatbeltisfastened,thepowersystemis
READY,DorRgearisselectedandtheacceleratorpedal
ispressedinordertopullaway,theEPBwillautomatically
release.
EmergencyBrakingFunction
InappropriateuseoftheEPBcanleadto
accidentsandinjuries.DonotapplytheEPB
forvehiclebraking,unlessinemergency.
Duringthedecelerationofthevehiclewith
EPB,DONOTswitchthevehiclepower
systemOFF,thiscouldresultinseriousinjury.
Intheeventofnormalbrakefailure,emergencybraking
usingtheEPBcanbeinitiatedbypullingandholdingthe
EPBswitchupward.
•IftheSCScanrespondactivelytotherequestfromthe
EPB,theSCSwillactivateandapplyall4brakes.Ifthe
SCSisunabletorespondtotherequestfromtheEPB,
thentheEPBwillonlyactivatetherearbrakes.
•DuringemergencybrakingusingEPB,acontinualaudible
warningwillsound.T ocanceltheemergencybraking
process,releasetheEPBswitch.
