TheACCsystemcanautomaticallyswitchbetween
constantspeedcruiseandcarfollowingcruisecontrol
dependingonwhetheritcandetectavehicledirectly
ahead.Constantspeedcruisecontrolispermitted
between20-90mph(30-150km/h)orcarfollowing
cruisecontrolbysettingthedistancebetweenthevehicle
andthevehiclesdirectlyahead.
WhenactivatediftheACCsystemdetectsacarinthe
samelanedirectlyaheaditmayaccelerateorgentlyapply
thebrakesofthecartomaintainthesetfollowingdistance.
Note:TheAdaptiveCruiseControlSystem(ACC)is
designedformotorwaycruisingoranyotherjourney
whereaconstantspeedordistancebetweenyour
carandthevehicleinfrontcanbemaintainedfora
lengthyperiod.
Note:WhentheACCisactiveifthevehicleneedstobe
sloweddownthebrakepedalcanautomatically'sink'
-pleaseDONOTplaceyourfootbehindorunderthe
brakepedaltotryand'lift'thepedal-yourfootmay

TheAdaptiveCruiseControlsystemisoperatedwitha
leverswitchlocated,attheleftsideofthesteeringwheel
underneaththeindicator/lightingstalkswitch.
1WiththevehiclepowersystemintheONposition,if
theadaptivecruiseleverswitchisinthe"OFF"position
(7),thentheadaptivecruisecontrolsystemisinthe
OFFstate.
2Movetheadaptivecruiseleverswitchtothe"ON"
position(4),theadaptivecruisesystemstatusindicator
ontheinstrumentpack
illuminatesyellow,andthe
adaptivecruisecontrolsystemisintheStandbystate.
3Thesystemwillautomaticallydetectthespeedand
positionofthevehicleahead,ifyourvehiclespeedis
above3mph(5km/h),afterpressingthe'Set'button
