STARTING&DRIVING
Activatedstate,itstargetspeedistheactualspeed
atactivation;ifyourvehiclespeedislessthan20mph
(30km/h),thenthetargetspeedofthesystemisset
at20mph(30km/h).Ifthespeedofthevehicleahead
isgreaterthanthecruisetargetspeedofyourvehicle,
yourvehiclewillmaintainthetargetspeedtoconduct
constantspeedcruise;ifthespeedofthevehicleahead
islowerthanthecruisetargetspeedofyourvehicle,
itwillenterthecar-followingcruise,animageofyour
carandthecaraheadseparatedbyagridisdisplayed
intheinstrumentpackmessagecentre,inthismode
theactualspeedmaybelessthanthesettarget
speed.Whilstinthecarfollowingcruisemode,you
canfollowthevehicleaheadtoastop,iftheamount
oftimethatthevehicleisinastoppedconditionis
lessthanapproximately3secondsyourvehiclemay
automaticallypullawaytofollowthevehicleahead,if
thestoppedtimeexceeds3secondsyourcarwillnot
automaticallypullaway,youwillreceiveapromptin
theinstrumentpackmessagecentrerequestingyou
tore-activatetheadaptivecruisecontrolusingthe
methoddisplayed.
Afterfollowingthevehicleaheadtoa
stop,thedrivermustobserveanylocal
trafclawsandensurethatthereareno
obstaclesorothertrafcparticipants,
suchaspedestrians,directlyinfrontof
thevehiclebeforeallowingittopullaway
andbegintofollowthevehicleahead
again.
Whilstusingthecarfollowingcruise
functionitisstronglyrecommendedthat
thedriverdoesnottouchtheaccelerator
pedal.Anyactivationoftheaccelerator
willnotallowthesystemtoautomatically
applythebrakesshouldthisbenecessary.
DONOTexitthevehiclewhentheACC
carfollowingcruisefunctionhasstopped,
oriskeepingthecarstationary.Before
exitingthecartheshiftcontrolknob
shouldbeintheParkposition,theparking
brakeappliedandthepowerswitchin
theOFFposition.
