TPMScannotreplaceroutinemaintenance
andcheckofthetyreconditionorpressure.
Ifradiotransmissiondevicessuchasmobile
telephonesorwirelessheadsetsareusedin
closeproximitytothevehicleitmayresult
ininterferencewiththeTPMSandcould
registerasafault.
Note:TPMSonlygivesthedriverawarningwhenthe
tyrepressureislow,itwillnotinatethetyre.
TPMSusespressuresensorsbuiltintotyrevalvesto
continuouslymonitorpressureandtransmitssignaltoECU
insidethevehicleusingRFsignals.Ifitdeducesthatthe
pressureofthattyrehasfallenbelowthepredenedlimit
ofthesystem,thewarninglightontheinstrumentpackwill
illuminate(alwaysyellow).Formoreinformation,please
referto‘InstrumentPack’in‘InstrumentsandControls’
section.Checkyourtyresattheearliestopportunityand
reinatetothecorrectpressure.Pleasereferto‘T yre
Pressure(Cold)’in‘T echnicalData’section.
SystemMalfunction
Thissystemisself-monitoring,ifamalfunction
isdetected,theTPMSwarninglamp(yellow)onthe
instrumentpackwillashfor90secondsrstandthen
remainilluminated..
Note:Whenapunctureisdetected,thesystemwill
requiresometimetoanalyseinformationpriorto
illuminatingthewarninglamp.
Undercertainconditionsthewarninglightmayilluminate
whenafaultisnotpresent,theseconditionsinclude:
Anonrecommendedtyretted(includingsparetyre).
Roughterraindrivingforexcessiveperiods.
Bendingormountaintypeterraindrivingforexcessive
periods.
TPMSwillnotrespondimmediatelyifatyre'blowsout'.
