Theautomaticemergencybrakingsystemandautomatic
emergencybrakingsystemforpedestrianswillonlybe
activatedifthefollowingconditionsaremet:
•Thedynamicstabilitycontrolsystem(SCS)andtraction
controlsystem(TCS)arefault-freeandON.
•ThevehicleisinDorN.
•Theairbagsarenotdeployed.
Note:Insomecases,thedrivermaynothave
anticipatedanybrakinginterventionanddoesnot
wanttoapplythebrakeswhilsttheautomatic
emergencybrakingsystemandautomaticemergency
brakingsystemforpedestriansarebrakingheavily.
thedrivercantemporarilycancelthisoperationby
heavilypressingtheacceleratorpedalafterensuring
thatitissafetodoso.
Automaticemergencybrakingsystemand
automaticemergencybrakingsystemfor
pedestrianssetting
TheoperatinginterfacefortheAEB/AEBPsystemis
locatedintheinfotainmentdisplay.Enterthevehicle
settinginterfacetolocatethedrivingassistoption,scroll
acrossthepagetondthesettinginterfacefortheforward
collisionsystem:
1T ouchthecorrespondingbuttonintheinfotainment
systemtoswitchtheforwardcollisionsystemon/off.
Selectemergencybrakingintheassistmodetoactivate
theautomaticemergencybrakingsystem.Whenthe
startstopswitchilluminatesgreen(ON/READY),the
switchofthesystemdefaultstoON.Whenthedriver
activelyselectstoturnoffthefunction,aprompt
messagewillbedisplayedintheinformationmessage
centreintheinstrumentpackandapopupmessage
willappearintheinfotainmentdisplay.
2T ouchthecorrespondingbuttonintheinfotainment
systemtoswitchtheautomaticemergencybraking
systemforpedestrianson/off.Whenthestartstop
switchilluminatesgreen(ON/READ Y),theswitch
defaultstoON.Whenthedriveractivelyselects
toturnoffthefunction,apromptmessagewillbe
displayedintheinformationmessagecentreinthe
instrumentpackandapopupmessagewillappearin
theinfotainmentdisplay.
