Safety:
Operationofthedetachabletowbarshouldonlybe
performedbyhand,neverusehandtoolstooperatethe
lockingmechanism.
Ifthetraileristtedwithasecuritycableorbrakecableit
mustbeattachedtothededicatedconnectionholeinthe
xedpartofthetowbar .
Whenastabilisercouplingisinstalledonthetrailernever
usegreaseonthetowball.
Alwaysremovethedetachabletowballwhennotinuseif
itobscurestheregistrationplate.
Preparation:
Removetowballcover.
Ensurethetowballiscleanandfreefromdirtanddebris.
Ensurethetowballisinthe‘springposition’(seepicture
3.1).
Thetowballisinthespringpositionif:
•Theoperatinghandleispushedincompletelyandno
colourindicationisshowninsidetheindicationareaof
theoperatinghandle.
•Thesliderispulledfullytowardsthetowball(shownin
picture3.1).
•Itisnotpossibletolockthesystemwiththesupplied
lockingkeys(seepicture5.2).
ThetowballisNOTinthespringpositionif:
•Theoperatinghandleispoppedoutandshowsared
eldintheindicationareaoftheoperatinghandle(see
picture3.1)
•Thesliderispushedouttowardsthetowball(thepart
isindicatedbyinpicture3.1).
•Itispossibletolockthesystemwiththesuppliedkeys
(seepicture5.2).
T oplacethetowballinthespringposition:
•Unlockthetowball(seepicture6.1)
•Pushtheoperatinghandleinwards,rotateinaclockwise
direction(whilstpushinginwards)untilthehandle
remainsinposition(seepicture3.2).Ifunsurerepeat
operation.
