Changing a halogen lamp
Disconnect the cooker hood from
the mains supply by:
– switching it off at the wall socket
and removing the plug, or
– withdrawing the fuse from the
fused spur connection unit, or
– withdrawing the mains fuse, or
– removing the screw-out fuse (in
countries where this is applicable).
Exercise caution when changing
halogen lamps. They get very hot
during use, and remain hot for some
time after being switched off.
Do not touch the surface directly
when changing a lamp, as grease
particles from your fingers will
adhere to the surface and damage
it. Please follow the manufacturer's
instructions.
^
Remove the stainless steel outer filter
(see "Cleaning and care").
^
Pull the halogen lamp out of its
socket. Take care not to let the lamp
fall onto the hob below.
^
Insert the new halogen lamp into its
socket and carefully push into
position.
When replacing a defective lamp it
is suggested that you use exactly
the same type of lamp (see
"Technical data" for lamp
specification).
