Problem Possible cause Remedy
There are humming
noises.
The compressor is
operating.
None. These noises are
quite normal and do not
indicate a fault.
A programme cannot
be started.
There is no immediate
cause.
Is the tumble dryer
switched on?
Is the mains plug
plugged in?
Is the door closed
properly?
Has the fuse or circuit
breaker tripped?
If you cannot remedy the
problem, there is a fault.
Call Miele.
Power cut. When power is restored to the tumble dryer after a
power cut, the programme will continue automatically.
The interior drum
lighting is not
switched on.
The lighting switches off
automatically (to save
energy).
Switch the dryer off and
then on again.
If the lamp needs to be
replaced, follow the
instructions under
"Changing the lamp" at
the end of this section.
