Hot start
Hot start is a function which helps to establish the arc
when MMA welding starts. This is done by increasing
the welding current when the electrode touches the
work piece by 50% of the set welding current.
The increased initial current is maintained for ½
second after which it decreases to the set value for
welding current.
Arc Power
Arc power is a arc enhancing function used to
stabilize the arc in electrode welding. This is done by
increasing the welding current during the short cir-
cuits. The additional current is cut out when there is
no longer a short circuit. Arc power is fixed value on
equal to 50% of the welding current.
Pre-flow
Pre-flow is the period of time for which
gas flows after the torch switch is
pressed and before the HF arc is established, or until
the torch is lifted away from the workpiece in the
Liftig process fixed at 0.1 sec.
