Setting the Cleaning level for White
ink
Set a head cleaning level for white ink.

Press the
(MENU)
in Local.

Press to select “Maintenance”,
and press the key.
• Maintenance MENU appears.

Press to select “Auto Maint.”,
and press the key.

Press to select “Cleaning
(White)”, and press the key.

Press to select the cleaning level,
and press the key.
• Set value : OFF/Lv.1/Lv.2/Lv.3

Press to select the cleaning type,
and press the key.
• Set value : Soft/ Normal/ Hard

Press the key several times to
end the setting.
About white ink circulation function
This machine performs ink circulation automatically to
prevent white ink pigment from settling out.
• This setting is displayed only when filling white ink
in the ink tank.
• If the timing of normal “Auto Maintenance -
Cleaning” coincides with the timing of “Auto
Maintenance - Cleaning (White)” for white ink,
normal “Automatic Maintenance - Cleaning” is
performed.
Note, however, that the cleaning type setting is
compared between normal cleaning and white ink
cleaning, and the harder of the two is used as the
cleaning type. (If “Soft” is set for normal cleaning
and “Normal” is set for white ink cleaning,
“Normal” cleaning is performed.)
Display indication
during white
• White ink circulation function is performed
automatically only when you use 4 colors + white
ink set.
• Even if you perform white circulation, ink is not
consumed.
• When this machine does not perform the printing
operation etc., white circulation is performed once
one hour.
• If you stop white circulation on the way, press the
[END/POWER] key.
• When white circulation operation has been
completed, the display returns to the status before
starting white circulation.
• When the machine receives printing data during
white circulation, it stops white circulation and the
display returns to the status before starting white
circulation.
• This machine is automatically started up and white
circulation is performed even if the printer power is
turned off.
