3.3Notes on planning superstructures
Moving or rotating parts on the ISEDE‑…weighing platform must be designed so that the
weighing results are not inuenced. Rotating parts should be counterbalanced, for
example.
The ISEDE‑…weighing platform must be free on all sides during weighing so that falling
parts or dust and dirt cannot cause it to come into contact with xed parts.
Any cables or tubing between the weighing platform and other equipment may not apply
any force to the weighing platform. These cables may not touch the load plate.
Avoid generating static electricity.
3.3.1Preload range (zero set range)
The weight of the systems that are attached to the load plate is designated as a "preload".
The preload is electronically compensated for in the weighing platform so that the full
weighing range remains available and thus zeroing and/or adjustment (with external
weights) is possible. Greater preloads may reduce the weighing capacity. The maximum
preload that can be compensated for depends on the congured specication block (see
Specication table).
These systems must be installed before the weighing platform is connected to the power
supply.
3.3.2Conguring weighing platform
For standard models, the scale can be set to your personal requirements, e.g. for
weighing using international weight units, for dierent setup requirements or for further
processing of weight values. The nal conguration of the possible unit can only be done
before verication for models that require verication.
You can customize the weighing platform (weighing module) via the Conguration menu
of a connected display and control unit, or using a connected computer with special
Minebea Intec conguration software (see accessories).
The conguration options for your weighing platform can be found on the following
pages in the "Specication table" section.
