2.1General safety information
NOTICE
Warning of property and/or environmental damage.
The product was in perfect condition with regard to safety features when it left the
factory.
To maintain this condition and to ensure safe operation, the user must follow the
instructions and observe the warnings in this manual.
These weighing platforms comply with the directives and standards for electrical
equipment, electromagnetic compatibility, and the stipulated safety conditions.
Do not expose the equipment unnecessarily to harsh chemical vapors or to extreme
temperatures, moisture, shocks, or vibration.
Chemicals (e.g., gases or liquids) that can corrode and damage the inside or outside of the
device must be kept away from the equipment. Handle the equipment and any
accessories (IP65 and higher) in accordance with the IP rating (DIN EN 60529).
If you see any indication that the platform cannot be operated safely, disconnect the
platform from the supply voltage and secure it against further use.
Always ensure that the weighing platform is disconnected from the power supply before
performing any maintenance, cleaning, or repair work.
The equipment may be opened only by authorized service technicians who have been
trained by Minebea Intec and who perform repair or maintenance work in accordance
with Minebea Intec’ standard operating procedures.
Use only specialist tools to install the equipment.
Installation work that aects the IP protection rating must be performed with extreme
care.
Pay attention to the pin assignments when using a cable from third-party manufacturers.
Check the connections of the cable against the corresponding cabling diagram before
connecting to the Minebea Intec equipment, and disconnect any wires that are assigned
dierently. The operator shall be solely responsible when using cables not supplied by
Minebea Intec.
The weight value can be aected by extreme electromagnetic inuences. Once the
disturbance has ceased, the product can be used again in accordance with its intended
purpose.
Use only original Minebea Intec spare parts.
Failure to observe the instructions contained in this manual during installation will result
in forfeiture of all claims under the manufacturer’s warranty.
2.2Intended use
The weighing platform ISEDE‑… is part of a modular system that consists of the weighing
module (weighing platform) and a display and control unit or industrial terminal.
The display and control unit comes with a separate instruction manual.
