7 Commissioning
7.1 Power failure/Data backup/Restart
7.1.1 Power failure
In the event of a power failure,
- all entered conguration and calibration data and
- all materials saved in the hard drive memory
are retained.
The clock and calendar continue to run.
7.1.2 Data backup
The calibration data and parameters as well as all conguration and interface data are
stored in non-volatile (EAROM) memory.
Unauthorized data changing can be prevented by an access code.
Additional write protection is provided for calibration data and parameters (see
Chapter7.1.3.1).
7.1.3 Overwrite protection
7.1.3.1 CAL switch
The CAL switch protects the calibration data and parameters against unauthorized access.
When the CAL switch is in "opened" position, the calibration data and parameters can be
changed using the PC program or via the ProBus connection.
With the CAL switch in the "closed" position, the calibration data (e.g. dead load, span)
and parameters (measuring time, zero tracking etc.) cannot be changed.
