Why does the fault indicator light up on my MiniMax Security Sensors when there's no alarm?
- JJonathan SmithAug 6, 2025
The fault indicator may light up without an alarm for two reasons: 1. The optical system might be dirty or damaged. If damaged, replace the detector. If dirty, clean it. If the fault indicator persists 2 minutes after cleaning, have the detector checked or replaced by Customer Service. 2. The detector may have been operated outside the acceptable temperature range. Remove the detector from its base. Check the temperature measuring pad for a dark color, which indicates it was used above its maximum operating temperature. In this case, replace the detector.
