Medication
You should take extra caution when taking
medication. Especially conspicuous are strong
painkillers, containing ibuprofen as well as vari-
ous antibiotics. Please read the leaflet enclosed in
medication packages or consult a physician or
pharmacist to find out, if increased sun sensitivity
has a side effect of the medication you are using.
The age
Babies and infants require special protection. Our
skin changes as we age and normally becomes
lighter. This process generally starts around 45
years of age.
Previous exposure
If you should be exposed to the sun several days in
a row, like on weekends or on vacation for example,
the skin’s sensitivity clearly increases.
